In the midst of the cold morning air, before the sun rises, fishmongers scurry around the Fulton Fish Market organizing and preparing to distribute the “Oceans Jewels.” Then walking into the rampant activity comes Paul Oliveri picking only the best quality seafood in front of him. 

Seatide Fish & Lobster Inc., located in Jackson Heights, Queens was born in 1969. This fruitful fish company grew into one of the busiest retail/wholesale seafood operations in New York City. 


Previous owners were ready to sell in 1988, so Paul partnered with Accursio Marinello, saved every bit of their earnings, and purchased this lucrative business with hopes to be successful. 

Paul being only eighteen years of age, worked around the clock, seven days a week, buying merchandise and building relationships with already established people in the seafood industry. 

At the young age of 29, Paul suffered a massive heart attack that set him back for two months. Following his rehabilitation and strong determination to get back to what he loved, he decided to expand his horizons.

In 2005, Seatide Gourmet Fish Market was established in Mill Basin, Brooklyn. 

With the help of his older son Dominick, who jumped on board to assist in expanding the wholesale department, Seatide Fish Market began supplying all the tops chefs and restaurants in the tri-state area.

Paul continues to build his reputation in providing the finest quality seafood and promptest service, delivering seven days week. 

His success continues to thrive because of his devotion and passion in the simple treasures of the ocean.
